THE CALIFORNIA SISTER BUTTERFLY
is a native to the West Coast and our namesake
our intention is to delight, inspire, and share the beauty of mother nature by bringing the outdoors in. We work with local artists to bring in unsual items for your home. In our floral design, we use locally grown, seasonal flowers. We are not a typical "red roses" type of florist. Our designs are thoughtfully composed, and a little bit wild. Always inspired by nature & the changing seasons.
We are conscious of, and care about, our effect on the environment. Therefore, our beautiful designs are made without the use of floral foam.
XO Nichole & Kathrin
With a love of color and form only flowers can provide, Nichole creates floral design that is reflective of the seasons and the wildness of our beautiful Northern California home. Inspired by the many entrepreneurs she's worked for in the past and ready to work for herself, she created California Sister in 2013.
Nichole lives with her family in West Sonoma County.
Kathrin comes from 27 years in retail in England.
2 years ago she took a 2 week Professional Business of Floristry Course from the Judith Blacklock Flower School in Knightsbridge London. From this course she got an apprenticeship with Papillon Floral Design in California. Through this apprenticeship she became aware of the North Bay Collective, a group of flower farmers and floral designers, including Nichole Skalski.
Kathrin lives with her family in Sebastopol, CA.
